As the Joint Emergency Service Interoperability Programme (JESIP) nears the end of the project and the Programme becomes Principles to be adopted by all emergency service responders, the legacy work is focusing upon Joint Organisational Learning (JOL) or identifying and learning lessons from training, exercises and operations that are of tri-service interest and relevance.
NARU along with the Police and Fire & Rescue are each identifying a single point of contact to take the learning of lessons forward into the future.
NARU is also to provide the tri-service coordination role to ensure that JOL matures and develops over the coming years and the focus that JESIP gave to inter-service interoperability.
